Who this covers
This notice describes how the Technology Budget Estimator (“the tool”) handles the information you provide when you use it. The tool produces planning budget estimates from the inputs you enter; it is not a financial, legal or contractual service.
What information is collected
- Assessment inputs: the development budget, daily rate and questionnaire answers you enter to produce an estimate.
- Account information: when you create an account, your email address and authentication details, handled by our authentication provider. Passwords are never stored or seen by the tool.
- Generated results: the estimates and reports produced from your inputs, stored so you can revisit and export them.
You can explore the questionnaire and review your inputs without an account. An account is only required to calculate a result and to download the PDF and Excel reports.
How the information is used
- To produce, save and let you export your budget estimates.
- To associate your saved assessments with your account so you can return to them.
- To operate, secure and improve the tool.
Your assessment inputs and results are not sold, and are not shared with third parties for advertising. Data is processed only to provide the tool to you.
Cookies
The tool uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. It does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Storage and retention
Your account and saved assessments are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your assessments or account, after which they are removed from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to any records the operator must keep.
Your choices
You can review your inputs before creating an account, and you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data. To make a request, use the contact route published once the operator’s details are finalised.
Changes
This notice will be updated as the tool develops. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date.
