What the tool does
The Technology Budget Estimator (“the tool”) turns a development estimate and a structured questionnaire into planning budget ranges for implementing and operating a technology initiative. It is provided to help you structure and challenge a budget.
Planning estimates, not quotations
Outputs are planning estimates only. They are not contractual quotations, professional advice, or a substitute for detailed technical estimation, procurement or due diligence. Figures depend entirely on the inputs and assumptions you provide, and on a methodology that is provisional and not independently validated or certified. You are responsible for the decisions you make using the outputs.
Your inputs
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for ensuring you are entitled to use it. Do not enter information you are not permitted to share. You retain ownership of your inputs and generated results.
Accounts
You may explore the questionnaire without an account. Calculating and exporting a result requires a free account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the tool.
- Do not use the tool to break the law or infringe others’ rights.
- Do not misrepresent the outputs as certified, guaranteed or contractual figures.
Availability
The tool is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. It may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn, and to the extent permitted by law no warranties are given and liability for reliance on the outputs is excluded.
Changes
These terms will be updated as the tool develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
